Estatelab did not start as a grand vision on a whiteboard. It started with something far more familiar: frustration with paperwork, Excel spreadsheets, scattered documents and figures that had to be checked yet again before they could be used.
The problem was practical
Founder Erik Brustad has worked in property since 2009. As a property owner, he saw how much time was lost to manual follow-up of leases, documents, finances and reporting. Information was not missing. Structure was.

From kitchen table to platform
In 2021, Erik decided to build the system he had been missing: a platform to bring important property information together and make day-to-day work less dependent on manual routines.
We wanted a solution that was easy to use and removed enough manual work for property professionals to spend more time creating value.
What Estatelab set out to solve
- Leases and deadlines that need follow-up.
- Service charges, indexation and financial processes that require control.
- Reporting that often starts in too many files.
- A portfolio overview that should be available before the board meeting, not after a search operation.
Why the story still matters
It is easy to make grand statements about digitalisation. Estatelab focuses on the practical details: less manual work, a better overview and more reliable decision-making information for people working in commercial property.
The same idea still drives the product forward. Nothing more mysterious than that. Just rather useful as the portfolio grows.
Ready for more control?
Less Excel. More visibility.
Estatelab helps property companies and managers gain a better overview of leases, portfolios and financial processes.
